We’re proud to present our latest artist collaboration with Kyoko Shirai — the creative mind behind Ulo’s Raglan, the beloved family-run eatery, and Ulo’s Vintage, our local hub for handpicked vintage finds and records. The Shirai family, originally from Fukushima, Japan, made Whāingaroa their home after the 2011 tsunami, bringing with them a deep love of surfing, community, and creativity.
Kyoko’s hand-drawn artwork captures her signature blend of nature, music, and Japanese cultural influence — a style that feels perfectly at home by the sea. For this special release, we invited Kyoko to reimagine our iconic “Raglan” lineup, and her unique interpretation now lives on this exclusive tee.
Thoughtfully designed and rich with local story, this collaboration celebrates the vibrant artistry that helps make our coastal community what it is.
