Talking 30 Years of Raglan Surf Company with Raglan Chronicle.
Raglan Surf Co has been an iconic part of the culture and personality of Whaingaroa since it opened in 1992. Craig and Liz Hughes opened the shop at the original location on Wainui Road and when Craig passed away in 2013, their son Luke took over the business. In 2017 they moved to their current location in the historic Vinnies building. Luke and I sat down in the boardroom to have a chat about the legacy of Raglan Surf Co and what the future looks like for them.

Thirty years on and while a few things have changed, the drive for doing what we do, has not. Established in 1992 means this year we celebrate 30 years of business, boards, surfing, our amazing community and most importantly, our roots. What a ride it has been. Big shout out to our amazing community, the customers over the years and the friends and whānau that surround us and have helped us keep the doors open!
T & C has a special little place in the history of the shop. Before things were really up and going with the retail side of things, our old manworkedto bring Town and Country back to New Zealand, and Raglan became the official hub of Town & Country New Zealand.
So when the VANS + T & C commemorative collection dropped earlier in the year, we knew we had to have it.
